The Lady Tigers have started the season strong, now boasting a record of 5-1 after ending the week against NEVC, winning in straight sets: 25-14, 25-21, and 25-15. Looking ahead, the JV team will participate in a tournament in Osceola this Saturday, and both teams have a busy schedule next week. Don’t miss our home game on Thursday—we’d love to see a packed gym supporting our Lady Tigers!

Lady Tigers Sweep the Lady Blue Jays The JV Tigers started the night off with back-to-back wins, 25-11 and 25-16. The varsity team secured the sweep with wins of 25-19, 25-14, and 25-22. Congratulations to both teams for a strong start to the week! The varsity team travels to NEVC on Wednesday, September 18th, for their next night of action.

It's Homecoming Week!!!

This is an important announcement from the Rich Hill School District. On Monday, we will begin running 4 routes again. This will continue for 6 weeks. We will do our best to have someone trained to take over the 4th route at the end of 6 weeks. If we cannot get someone trained, we will have to return to 3 routes. On Monday, please be patient as bus drivers adjust their routes. Pickup and dropoff times may change some so please make sure to watch for your bus Monday morning.

From the Coach's seat: The Lady Tigers defeated McAuley Catholic in varsity play with scores of 3-0 (25-10, 25-22, 25-23) and in JV with scores of 2-0 (25-14, 25-15). Thank you to the fans who traveled to Joplin! Congratulations on the win, Lady Tigers!

Win for the Lady Tigers The Lady Tigers secured a 3-0 victory over the Lady Eagles with set scores of 26-24, 25-9, and 25-7. Golden City, is an in-district opponent we will likely see again later this season. Lanie Phelps led with 5 aces, followed by Jayla Potter and Emily Mackey with 4 each. Maysi Miller and Briley Steuck each contributed 2 aces. Phelps also recorded 15 assists, with Izzy Swope adding 2 and Leeanna Bell 3. Maysi Miller topped the team with 12 kills, Briley Steuck had 9, Abi Reed and Ava Tialino each had 2, and Phelps and Bell each had 1. The Lady Tigers will look to continue with another game against McAuley Catholic on Thursday, September 12th, at 5:30 p.m. in Joplin. Notes from Coach: Rich Hill Lady Tigers Fall to the Jasper Eagles The Rich Hill Lady Tigers faced a challenging home opener against the Jasper Eagles, who finished second in the state last year with an impressive 35-2-1 (tie) record. The Lady Tigers varsity team fought hard but fell in three sets, with scores of 16-25, 9-25, and 9-25. The Junior Varsity team also lost with scores of 16-25 and 14-25. Despite the tough loss, the coaching staff sees this early matchup as a valuable learning experience. With Jasper expected to be a top contender for the district title, this game serves as a crucial step in the Lady Tigers’ preparation for the challenges ahead. Playing against one of the best teams in the state gives us a clear picture of where we need to improve, and we’re confident that the hard work our players are putting in will pay off. The Lady Tigers remain optimistic and are determined to sharpen their strategies, particularly in defending against Jasper’s powerful offense. As they continue to grow and develop, they have their sights set on building a competitive edge as the season progresses.

Tiger Football is introducing an “Honorary Captain”. The football program will select a faculty or staff member as an honorary captain.
