Mowing Plots

The Rich Hill R-IV School District is now accepting separate bids for haying and bids for contracted summer lawn care, mowing, and weed suppression on the school’s property. Bid 1 will consist of haying Plot 1 for the 2023 season. Prospective companies/individuals shall bid the entire mowing area listed below in Plots 1,2, and 3. (Note the exception of the details from Plot 1 below). Bidders will supply all equipment, labor, fuel and other necessary items to complete the work. Bidders will also carry liability insurance and provide proof of that in the bidding process. The Rich Hill R-IV School District retains the right to reject any or all bids submitted. Sealed bids are due to the Rich Hill R-IV Central Office, 703 N. 3rd St., Rich Hill, MO 64779, by noon, March 6, 2024.

Bid 1: A separate/stand alone bid for haying the area inside the red line of Plot 1 north of the school campus.

Bid 2: A separate/stand alone bid for maintaining the areas as described in Plots 1, 2, and 3.

Plot 1—N Field (in red): This plot of land only includes the area along the streets, ditches, and border of the plot along the red line below. This includes one 6’ width inside the ditch. The rest of this plot will be mowed/maintained in a separate bid process for hay ground.

Plot 2—Main School Grounds and S Parking lots: This plot requires mowing with a finish lawnmower, weed control, care of ditches (string trimmer only), and some herbicide application. Frequent mowing is required to keep the grounds looking attractive. Mowing of the playground must be after 3pm if on a school day.

Plot 3—Old High School: This plot requires regular mowing of the football field with clippings either blown off the field or bagged. The bidder must be available to mow the football field at short notice by request from district administration. All other areas outlined require mowing with a finish lawnmower, weed control, care of ditches and retaining walls, and some herbicide application. Frequent mowing and weed control are required to keep the grounds looking attractive.
