Each year, the Rich Hill Alumni Association inducts a retired teacher into the Rich Hill Teacher Hall of Fame. Votes are collected in person at the alumni banquet, and this year we've added a digital survey as well. Graduates will have the opportunity to vote for one of three nominated teachers, and will then nominate their own choice of teacher to be included in next year's vote. A list of past recipients is included in the survey. The award recipient will be announced in the summer of 2026. Voting is set to close on July 1.

This is Superintendent Kevin Goddard with an important announcement from the Rich Hill School District regarding summer school and bus transportation. It is not too late to attend summer school. Any child going into kindergarten through 8th grade can enroll on Monday, June 2 at the elementary office. There will be 3 bus routes, East, West, and Town. Two of us will be new drivers, so please be patient as we learn the routes. Route times will be close to the normal year times although the first day may be a little slow. I will be driving the Foster route and will be in Foster at about 6:55am give or take 5 minutes. I will also back along walnut and park streets around 7:25 and pick up students south of the elementary between 7:30 and 7:35. Again, please be patient on the first day and watch for the bus within a fifteen minute window of what you are used to. Thank you and have a great weekend!

The Rich Hill R-IV District has the following positions still available for 2025-26:
STEM/Character Education (approximately half time)--This is a K-5 Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math elective with Character Education lessons in coordination with the school counselor. The teacher will work with classroom teachers to extend science labs and experiments beyond the textbook. The district is seeking a grant to help this teacher add equipment, supplies, and an outdoor classroom.
Daycare Director--The director will manage the district's 6 weeks to school age daycare. Hours are 7:30 to 3:30 and includes one to two helpers depending on enrollment. Duties include managing staff, communicating with parents, working with administration and bookkeeping, and supervision of children.
Daycare Worker--Hours are 7:30 to 3:30. Duties include helping the daycare director, feeding and changing children, supervising activities, and other duties as assigned.
HS Science--This is the full time certified high school science teaching position with a preference given to an individual who would accept a coach opening listed below.

The school will once again be publishing it's own athletic calendars for the 2025-26 school year. If you receive a phone call from anyone, it is not us. We did not receive any calendars or any money from any publishing company last year. We produced our own and 100% of the proceeds went to Rich Hill Athletics. I will post the order from here in the next week or two for any businesses that would like to have an ad placed on next year's calendar.

The Rich Hill R-IV School District is seeking a temporary, part-time bus mechanic from now to June 30, 2025. The district will then fill a mechanic position starting July 1 as a part-time position or a half-time mechanic/half-time other which could be maintenance, bus route driver, transportation supervisor or something else based on the applicants skill set. This individual should be experienced with diesel engines, electrical systems, and bus regulations.
