Miami vs. Rich Hill

 

The Rich Hill Tigers made their first road trip of the season to the home of the Miami Eagles on Tuesday night. This game would be the second game for the Tigers in two nights. This would be the first time that Rich Hill had played in Miami’s new facility that was completed last season.

 

For the second night in a row the Tigers came out a bit sluggish offensively and defensively but were able to build a slight lead after the first quarter over the Eagles, 12-8. The second quarter found the teams playing quite evenly and the Eagle pretty much matching the Tigers score for score at half time Rich Hill lead Miami 26-21. After the half the Tigers adjusted their defense and were able to hold Miami to just six points while scoring 13 themselves building score of 39-27 after three quarters. The final quarter saw both team’s offense picking up steam and again playing an even match. In the end the Tigers were able to pull off a 56-45 victory on the road against Miami.

The Tigers improved their record to 2-1 on the season with their next game coming on Friday night at home with the Lockwood Tigers coming to town. The evening will start with a junior varsity boys game, then the varsity girls and the final game of the evening will be the boy’s varsity game.

Rich Hill placed six players in the score book with Clifton Bridgewater leading with 18 points, followed by Bryce Yohe with 15, Magal Chol-Case and Blake Laning each with 8, Daylen Walton 4 and Daylan Black with 3. The Eagles were lead in scoring with            S Hamman 15 and M Link with 10.
