Happy Friday! We are through another week and first quarter is in the books. I am so excited that we made it through the quarter and look forward to making it through the next. We have quite of few great things going on in the building and wanted to highlight them.

First quarter grade cards we be mailed home next week. Please have conversations with your kiddos over the grades. I have seen some amazing grades being earned in the building so congrats to those. If your kiddo is struggling, please have that conversation as well and please utilize the virtual parent teacher conferences coming up this Thursday.

Virtual Parent Teacher Conferences will be held Thursday October 29. I encourage all parents to reach out and make contact with their kid’s teachers. I do ask, if possible, to reach out via email to teachers to make appointments for parent teacher conferences. We do everything we can to minimize distractions in class and making arrangements for conferences through email will help us stay focused on learning in the classrooms.

FFA Trap shooting competed this past Wednesday and they finished 2nd overall out of 16 teams. Individual Results (89 individuals competed) included Clifton Bridgewater in 1st, Daniel Bridgewater in 9th, Isaac Brooks in 16th, and Aiden Baker in 18th.

Junior setter Katelynn Tourtillott recorded her 1000th assist Thursday night as the Lady Tigers defeated Lakeland in three sets. Congratulations on your accomplishment, Katie!

Attention junior high students and parents: The policy in the athletics handbooks states:

For junior high eligibility, the participant must be enrolled as a full-time student. The student shall not have received a failing grade in any subject during the preceding quarter. Academically ineligible students who are becoming eligible for the current quarter become eligible on the fifth day of classes of the new term.

Please have this conversation with your kiddo(s) and continue to check grades. Basketball season is right around the corner and I know we have a lot of excited athletes who want to play.

It is football Friday and your Tigers are traveling to Liberal tonight. Let’s go Tigers!!!

Thank you for reading and it is always a great day to be a Tiger!!!
