The Shelley Seider Student-Athlete Award is given to the member of the senior class of Rich Hill High School who most demonstrates the spirit of scholastic and athletic excellence embodied by Rich Hill High School’s 2004 graduate Shelley Seider. Shelley, who won nine individual state titles in track and field and led Rich Hill High School to two consecutive state track championships, was a recipient of the Wynn Award and inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame in Spring 2019. The Rich Hill Tiger Pride Booster Club sponsors this award.

The inaugural recipient of the Shelley Seider Student-Athlete Award is Taylor Coonce. Taylor distinguished herself as the class valedictorian and all-district 1st team in volleyball, basketball, and softball, along with being a state medalist in track. Taylor is the daughter of Slade and Michelle Coonce and has received a scholarship to play basketball and attend Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri.
